The master of erotic art Tom Poulton (1897-1963) was a keen observer of human nature and of sexuality. Poulton mainly provided illustrations for 'The British Journal of Surgery' and was not known for his erotic drawings until after his death. The beautiful and sensitive graphite sketches, always drawn with soft pencil onto a very lightweight paper, of men and women proudly and exuberantly displaying themselves, making love in public, in groups, in every situation where all amazingly well drawn and very explicit.
